Managing Director (speaker)
The certified engineer has been the CTO of Deutsche Solar AG since 2006 and the CEO of Deutsche Solar AG since 2009 and is the current speaker of the Deutsche Solar GmbH management. Before that, the native Berliner worked at several positions at Samsung (Head of Technology, Head of Production, etc.). He last worked as technical director before joining the SolarWorld Group. (He has been working in the Group since 2006)
Volker Mehlig
Managing Director
The trained banker studied economics, focusing on tax law and auditing, in Berlin. After he completed his studies, he worked as an auditor for four years before he took various key roles in the automotive, electronic and media industries. He has been Managing Director of Solar Factory GmbH since April 1, 2007 and Managing Director of Deutsche Cell GmbH since January 1, 2009. He was Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Solar AG from July 1, 2009 to December 31, 2010 and has been Managing Director of Deutsche Solar GmbH since January 1, 2011. (He has been working in the Group since 2007)
Dipl.-Ing. Ralf Petzoldt
Managing Director
The Dipl.-Ing. studied electrical engineering and specialized in semiconductor physics in Chemnitz. After completing his studies, he first started at the Dresden institute for microelectronics as a research engineer and later worked as wafer fabrication manager in the center for microelectronics (ZMD) and as Vice President of Operations. He went to the USA with ZMD in 2002, where he worked for more than a year in New York and built a new chip design company in Wisconsin. On July 1, 2009, he assumed the role of Chief Technology Officer of Deutsche Solar AG and is now the Managing Director of Deutsche Solar GmbH. (He has been working in the Group since 2009.)
